Power's out!

During our crazy weekend rain and wind storm we ended up losing power on Sunday afternoon for about six hours. The worst part was that half of our backyard fence also blew down, meaning that until poor Grant fixes it, we now look RIGHT into our neighbor's house - and they look into ours. The good part is it wasn't out TOO long and most of it was during the day. However, losing power definitely makes you appreciate electricity and how much we rely on it!

The kids had fun "pretending" they were hiding from the storm. Here is Lila "reading a map on how to escape to somewhere tropical." Lol. Owen was her happy companion. And so was Curious George.

Thankfully, the skies cleared and today was a beautiful sunny day!!

Did I mention I'm counting down the days until summer?!

  3. Bummer on the power loss!! Six hours is a long time with kids especially if it's really hot or cold. But they look like they're having fun regardless. Hope that fence is easily repaired! We took ours down completely about a year ago and while it's nice to not have a fence, we can see into the neighbors behind us so that's kind of weird.

I could wait for summer, it gets so hot and unbearable here....stay cool weather!

  4. I'm counting down the days too! Thankfully we haven't had any bad storms yet this year - I'm always a wreck when the power goes out - tell me I can't charge my phone and I start panicking . . . the absolute definition of millennial problems!
