Happy new year!!

Happy 2016!!! To say the holidays flew by this year would be an understatement (at least for us). Between Christmas, New Year festivities and important birthday celebrations, we spent most days the past two weeks at some sort of festivity.

On New Year's Eve, Lila went to her first movie theater movie (!!) with my parents and nephew and then they all came over for a bit after. We whipped out our hats and horns and took a few pics with my new selfie stick (lol!).

The horns were a big hit with the kids! (Insert emoji of me covering my ears here).

They were asleep by 8 p.m. though so Grant and I had a little "at home" date with shrimp cocktails, pink champagne and a delicious (super late) dinner.

Grant made a delicious chicken piccata with linguine.

We were in bed by 11 though and rang in the New Year asleep!

New Year's Day was a beautiful cold but sunny day here. We went on a nice little walk with Lila's new scooter and Owen on the trike!

Loving this sunshine!!

That evening we celebrated my Grandpa's 90th birthday!!! Here we are celebrating, and he has his signature martini in his hand!

We had a great dinner and even better company!

Owen helped him blow out his candles. He told me he's glad Owen is a Capricorn like he is because "we're known for being cheap!!"

It was a great way to celebrate the New Year! I'm back to work today. Hope all of you had a wonderful New year too!

Xo

  11. I really need a selfie stick haha. We try way too hard to get all of us in. Kyle's ar,s are only so long. Nice that they went to be so early. Sophie passed out about 11, people kept shooting off fireworks earlier so she couldn't settle down and then of course she was out like a light for the finale.

Happy birthday to your Grandpa!!! Looking great :)

  13. While organizing an office party, by asking for the advice and input of other folks in your office, you'll make them feel valued, and you'll give them a stake in making the party great. You’ll also might get some great corporate events NYC ideas from them.
