Festive Irish Cream

I LOVE a good holiday cocktail. They seem way more fun than an everyday version. Every holiday season, we always keep our cabinet stocked and ready to make several fun drinks. Eggnog cocktail, hot buttered rum, spiced cider, and always champagne.

This year I made a rich, indulgent Irish Cream recipe as gifts for family and friends! It's rich, creamy, just boozy enough and perfect alone, in coffee or in a martini cocktail. Irish Cream (similar to Bailey's) is like a cocktail version of the mocha. So delicious!

If you're looking for a perfect last minute "homemade" gift, or something to keep in your fridge for New Year's company, I highly recommend this recipe.

Irish Cream (adapted from this recipe)
1 cup half & half
1 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
1 cup Irish whiskey
1 tsp instant coffee granules
2 TBL chocolate syrup
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp almond extract

Pour all into a blender and blend to mix. Keep in the refrigerator.

I put mine in both corked glass bottles and small mason jars to give away. I finished with chalkboard label stickers from the $1 bin at Target. Top with a bow and you have a sweet little gift. But, don't forget to keep one for yourself.

Happy Christmas Eve!!
